As a boy, I was the first one in my neighborhood to own a bike with high handlebars, banana seat with thick tires and it became such a part of me in a way that I would never forget.Growing up in the "Projects" was a lot of fun and there were a lot of kids to play with but sometimes I needed to get away from it all and this bicycle was my escape. I was all over the city with that bike and there was nothing like jumping on that thing, putting the rubber to the pavement and taking off like the wind. I could spend a whole summer's day riding out around the city. And sometimes just finding a quiet place in a park and watching the clouds go by was enough to relax me. I recolored and painted the bike in the picture the best I could to show what it looked like. Gold with a partially checkered banana seat.

On Two Wheels (1981)
written by James Buckley

Out on the streets, we’ll ride again
You and I, I know you’re my friend
Until the end

When all the world has got me down…
Against the wind, you always seem to set me free
You know just what I need

We’ve been through tougher days
Just hanging on to hopeless dreams
Not caring what the others say
While wasting all their time away
They don’t know how it feels
On two wheels
Thank you for being there
I know how much you care
You take me everywhere
I wanna go, I wanna see
I wanna find what's real
On two wheels

On two wheels

On two wheels

On two wheels
