JAMES "shamrocks" Claddagh's Irish Pub
Saturday, March 17th, 2007

The Southside Works and Claddagh's Irish Pub put up some big numbers this St. Patrick's Day. Claddagh's was filled to capacity by noon. Long lines grew outside, while inside the celebration was kickin'. The threesome, Just Us, started things off for the early birds with a great set of monster acoustic classics with great harmonies and superb musicianship. Then, The Flying Mangini Brothers, picked it up with more classic rock tunes that gave the people more of a reason to sing along. Then JAMES did their crowd favorites, original tunes and even played "The Unicorn Song, to the delight of all. James Buckley was even asked to go to one of the back rooms to do "The Unicorn". The owners wanted the guys to stay and play all night. WHAT A GREAT PARTY!
The foursome performed a few new covers, Roy Orbison's "You Got It", The Beatles, "Things We Said Today" and
"I Feel Fine". They finished with their own, "She's All Mine" and "Here We Go Again" which got a roaring ovation!

Many were moved by the songs so much they not only donated money but their emotions as well to this standing room only show. Songwriter James Buckley: "Living in this area brought a lot of familiar faces here, many who have been wanting to see us perform. Although the attendance was low, the java sippers that did attend responded favorably to the guys as they played mainly original tunes on this warm June night. Sun Shines Over Schenley Plaza!
Monday June 19th , 2006
What began as a rainy wet morning in Oakland at The Schenley Plaza turned into sunshine and blue skies as JAMES performed at this newly dedicated facility situated between the Hillman and Carnegie Libraries. The guys played a Beatle-loaded set and some original tunes into the act with the sun coming out as they finished "I'll Follow The Sun". This prompted the venue to gain some life and the merry-go-round began its spinning as well. The lunch goers enjoyed the performance and responded with applause and cheers.

Oakmont Relay For Life Welcomes James!
Saturday, June 3rd, 2006

The weather was quite unstable for The American Cancer Society's Oakmont Relay For Life, but that didn't keep away a very enthusiastic effort by the particpants in this well organized fund and awareness-raising event. James was well received and performed quite a few motivational tunes for this show, including the Beatles Long and Winding Road, Across The Universe, Let It Be, I'll Follow The Sun. John Lennon's "Grow Old With Me as well as their own "Very Truly Yours and "Natalie".

The highlight was when they left the performing stage and went to the Survivors tent to perform a new song for the survivors written by James Buckley last year for the Relay For Life but because of a storm, did not get to perform it last year. The storm held off this year and to the delight of this special audience of survivors they were able to perform it for the first time. The following are the words to this moving piece for all who can identify with it:

I Will Survive
(by James Buckley – 2005)

The path of life, so unpredictable
A day of sun, a day of rain
I’ve learned sometimes its not forgivable

A time of peace, a time of pain

Oh Bless This Day
Oh Bless This Day

And I remember Grant, a friend of mine
And how he used to make me smile
The memory of him is so inspiring

As I walk these many miles

Oh Bless This Day
Oh Bless This Day
I will survive, though mighty storms
Will make me strong, to carry on
I’ll find a way , the world will see
How each and every day I will be free
I will survive

And now I live my life like a daffodil
A sign of hope, a brand new day
A breath of life and a stronger will

A shining bright light leads the way

Oh Bless This Day
Oh Bless This Day
I will survive, though mighty storms
Will make me strong, to carry on
I’ll find a way , the world will see
How each and every day I will be free
I will survive
I will survive
I will survive
I will survive

JAMES Influences Young Musicians!

Friday, May 5th, 2006

Received from a great young fan, Brandon, by his grandmother!!

My Grandson thinks your group is his life.  He comes home everyday from school and plays the DVD.  Thanks so much.  Here is a picture of him with his guitar.  Imitating you.  He sings with you.  Thought you would enjoy that you have a 2 yr. old groupie. He is so funny.  He calls me and says "Nana - James"  and he plays along with you.  They, of course, are going nuts.  He loves you.  When he comes up in July we are going to try to get to your concert.  He would flip out.

iLet's Play Ball!

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

It was on to South Buffalo Fire Hall for a benefit helping the Freeport Area Little League Program and what an enthusiastic crowd showed up responding greatly to JAMES and The Nieds Hotel Band, as they put on an excellent performance. The ovations were constant after each song and the people in this community got their moneys' worth with a rockin' party for another great cause. JAMES finished with its "harmonica blazin" version of Elvis's "Heartbreak Hotel", as The Nieds Hotel Band took over and kept the house a-rockin!

iBand Entertains at Autism Benefit in Hermanie, PA

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

The NHS School for Autistic Children were the benefits this time as the band took the show to the small town of Hermanie at St. Edwards School to play for a full house of great people contributing to such a worthy cause. JAMES opened up for their good friends "The Businessmen" for this event and the promoters were very pleased with the outcome and results. Once again, the call was made and JAMES was there, playing some great classic covers and original tunes.

JAMES turns Green at Station Square Blarney Bash!
Saturday, March 11, 2006

James performed what was probably one of their "biggest" shows yet at the Red Star Tavern in Station Square as part of the "Blarney Bash" celebration hosted by the one and only Sean McDowell from WDVE. They took the stage around 1:45 and launched right into "Pretty Girls", followed by the best of their originals and High-Powered cover tunes. The place was packed and the SRO crowd was in rare form as they danced and sang along. Also performing were "Cue Ball", a 3-piece Irish band, and the Andy Mangini Trio, playing pop and classic rock tunes with some beautiful harmonies.

Outside on the Main Stage, a large crowd enjoyed the best Irish bands the city has to offer, ate snacks from the food booths and drank Guiness draft from the beer stands. Souvenir vendors sold all sorts if Irish gear, in fact, everyone was Irish that day. It was a great way to kick off the "party season"in Pittsburgh.

Getting out of Station Square to go to Oakmont to perform was a huge task. Throngs of "Irishmen" occupied most of the outdoor square footage and the party was peaking at the time JAMES was leaving. Battered bodies scattered about the Station's quad and souls wandering about as if in the midst of a tropical storm. Never has there been seen so many Irish in one small confined place. Just wait 'til next year lads!

iNied's Hotel Site of Birthday Bash!

Saturday, March 4, 2006

The drinks flowed and the music never slowed as James entertained guests and friends alike on a rare Saturday night at Nied's Hotel in Lawrenceville as we wished a Happy Birthday to Johnny V, the bartender, who got the night off to celebrate. "Papa" Jimmy Nied was the gracious host and had the bar decorated in lavish green in anticipation of St. Paddy's Day. And speaking of the Irish, come on down to Station Square this Saturday, March 11, for WDVE's Blarney Bash and celebrate with James at the Red Star Tavern from 1 to 3.

SEE YOU THERE!

JAMES "warms up" Sonny's on their return to Bloomfield!

Saturday, February 18, 2006

The weather outside was frightful, but the music inside was HOT, HOT, HOT!! Temps in the teens might have kept the crowd away, but those that braved the cold were treated to a soothing selection of James originals and cover tunes, enhanced by the one and only Tim Hadley on bass.

Scary night for JAMES on Halloween as they try to live up to their billing!
Saturday, October 29th, 2005

Hot off the Saks show, the band returned to its Bloomfield home at Sonny's on Millvale Avenue. The guys play their best here and this night was no exception as they winged a few extra tunes for the crowd including some Beatles, Who and even Bob Dylan. Wooooo!

Elvis showed up just in time for an extremely hot "Heartbreak Hotel" as did Scooby Doo who wanted the band to do "Ain't Nothin' But A Hounddog".

JAMES puts on a really big shoe at Saks Fifth Avenue!

James Nearly Breaks A Leg At St. Raphael's Festival
Friday, August 12th, 2005

James Buckley was injured when the stairs collapsed as he walked up to the stage. The paramedics were called in and James suffer a sprained ankle and a gash in the shin. Thankfully, the injuries were not as bad as they could have been and JAMES performed for the crowd at the festival on a very hot, steamy night. James filed a claim for 1 Our Father, 5 Hail Mary's and a Glory Be To The Father and the guys had a great time playing for this benefit.
Just Another Day for JAMES
Saturday August 6th, 2005

It was a doubleheader day for the boys as they performed at another "Relay For Life" benefit at Memorial Park in New Kensington and the rocked the house at Sonny's Tavern in Bloomfield at night. There is no stopping the guys, they love to play and entertain...anytime...anyplace.

"Inside / Outside" show a success for JAMES
Saturday July 9th, 2005

JAMES was well rehearsed for this show as the crowd was entertained with nearly non-stop music this night. The Nied's Hotel Band held court outside in the new amphi-theater as JAMES ruled the inside at Nied's. A sizeable crowd spilled out onto the sidewalk and the seats were all taken inside when JAMES performed.

JAMES at Blessed Festival

JAMES has added a couple of new Zeppelin acoustic tunes, "Tangerine" and "That's The Way".
Be sure to stop at Sonny's on the 6th of August as JAMES returns to Sonny's. It is a good time with great people.

Relay For Life, Hot Hot HOT!

Saturday June 11th, 2005

Highlands Stadium
Natrona Heights, PA

A very hot humid day made for a sticky show from JAMES, but they managed to complete their performance before the afternoon storms came upon them. Many were on hand to walk and run for this installment of The American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life" campaign.

Congratulations to those who attended and participated in this event for making it a success once again this year.

JAMES Goes Back To School

Tuesday, May 24th, 2005

Our Lady Of The Most Blessed Sacrament School
Natrona Heights, PA

James Buckley went solo this Tuesday morning, playing for the children of the school from pre-school thru second grade. The kids were great as they sang along with James on numerous songs including, "Puff, the Magic Dragon", "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" and other children favorites. They also sang along on some of his own songs such as "She's All Mine" and "Natalie". They even did the "na na na na na na na...na na na na.....Hey Jude", when James did the Beatle classic. That one was heard throughout the first floor of the school as by that time the door was opened so that the other grades got to hear it as did the second floor. All of this without amplifiers. Truly unplugged.
James finished with a touching version of "You Are So Beautiful". Read some of the "Thank You" letters from the kids. Letters from the first graders....letters from the second graders.

Doubleheader No Problem
Saturday May 14
th, 2005
Private Party in Sewickley and Sonny's Tavern in Bloomfield
.

Once again, the guys took the travelling band on the road for two shows this day. After performing in a barn at a gorgeours farm in Sewickley in front a very gracious audience, the guys went to Sonny's in Bloomfield and fired up the crowd to some pumped up tunes and classic rock songs that have become a signature of this band.

The boys did extremely well keeping the crowd entertained and were asked back on the spot for June 25th. Sonny's tavern, although not a very big place, but the crowd made up for it by dancing, singing and partying big time.

JAMES Plays for Seniors

Wednesday, May 11th, 2005

Rosebrook Assisted Living Center
Sarver , PA

John Casciato, John Carlino and James Buckley appeared at a fine facility for assisted living in Sarver called Rosebrook. Most of the residents were on hand to listen to the fine acoustic sound of JAMES this night as the band treated them to a tasteful collection of their best tunes. After some volume levelling and everyone was comfortable, you could see smiles growing and feet tapping, which proves that good music is for all ages. They thoroughly enjoyed JAMES, with the highlight being Elvis's "Heartbreak Hotel".

JAMES Goes To School

Saturday, April 16th, 2005
Our Lady Of The Most Blessed Sacrament School
Natrona Heights, PA

Despite a low turnout, it wasn't enough to stop the show from rockin' the school down. The school was shakin' while the music kept the family-friendly onlookers getting their money's worth. The were almost as many children there as adults and they proved to be the life of the party as JAMES began unplugged and bolstered into a rock 'em, sock 'em set of originals and classic covers. The full band was on hand to mesmerize the audience with a full night of musical magic that seemed to gain a number of new fans from the age of innocence. The benefit did alright even thought the turnout was low and those that did are anxiously awaiting to hear the band again. Hats off to The Nied's Hotel Band for starting the night off great!

Bug Bites JAMES ... Band Looks For Cure at Zanders Nightclub

Saturday, April 2nd, 2005
Zanders Nightclub at Palmieri's Restaurant
Plum, PA

Hours before the show, exhausting all hope of making it to the show, bassist Kevin Kilp fights a losing battle against a nasty virus that has been going around. The same one that has kept James Buckley at below top form for six weeks. The band has to adjust, as guitarist Tim Hadley takes over admirably on bass and John Carlino shines with his guitar work as JAMES puts on a good show for a wall-to-wall crowd of snow trucking fans who fought off a late season blizzard to fill the house at Zanders. Journeyman musician, John Fox, joins the band on keyboards for Zep's "Thank You" to a great response and the band rolls through its own tunes quite well and finished off with a harmonica blazing rendition of "Heartbreak Hotel". And although it's always crowded, you still can find some room. Where broken hearted lovers do cry away their gloom. Bring Spring!!!!

The Hillman Cancer Center Welcomes JAMES

Thursday, March 24th, 2005
Hillman Cancer Center
Pittsburgh, PA

In an almost tropical atmosphere, JAMES played the Atrium at The Hillman Cancer Center this day to delight of many workers, visitors and patients. The music echoed through the high ceiling to the upper floors and down the hallways. One worker from upstairs came down and told the guys that the patients could hear very well and wished that they were able to come and see. James Buckley and John Carlino were on hand to present in duet fashion the original and classics that JAMES is known for. The onlookers were enjoying themselves as visitors stopped by for a few songs, the employees took their lunch and patients had an earful of delightful acoustic melodies to help make their day a little better. The guys really sounded great and enjoyed performing for such a well deserving audience in this special setting.

The Show Must Go On At Nieds

Saturday, March 5th, 2005
Nied’s Hotel
Pittsburgh, PA

For only the second time in history, Nieds opened its doors on a Saturday night. In exception to a tradition that started years ago with the idea that a man should be home with his family on a Saturday night, not out drinking in a bar, Nieds opened the doors for JAMES to perform to a honorable audience of loyal followers and interested parties. The atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable as the patrons were able to chat and listen to JAMES play favorites like "Thank You", "From The Beginning" and a host of original tunes. James Buckley had to sing with a severe sore throat but managed to get through the 2 hours of music, although somewhat raspy. John Vento and The Nieds Hotel Band opened up the show and played some great classic numbers and original music as Mr. Vento was awarded a special recognition plaque for his work with the community which was presented by State Representative Don Walko.

Chillin’ at Nieds

Tuesday, January 18, 2005
Nied’s Hotel
Pittsburgh, PA

With temperatures in the single digits, the atmosphere inside Nied’s Hotel was quite warm. Nied’s is a kind of place that proves that the quality of people not the quantity makes for a great time.
Performing acoustically, JAMES played many of the original favorites and some timeless classics as well. The thumbs were up as patrons attending were entertained in a great sounding room. The acoustics were absolutely fitting for JAMES.
They released their newest tune, “Natalie”, to this crowd and the song was tremendously received by all. The Nied’s people working the night were great and together with the audience we all had a great time. The Nied’s crowd are well known for their rowdiness and party personality, but they showed their other side as well, as was evident during the band’s version of Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You”, when you could almost hear a pin drop. JAMES is planning to return to Nied’s again and perform. The cozy conditions allowed everyone to relax, talk to friends and listen comfortably to some good music.

Ho! Ho! Ho!
JAMES at Dowe’s on 9th

Sunday, December 5th, 2004
Dowe’s on 9th
Pittsburgh, PA

The complete band opened up for The Businessmen for their annual Christmas Show. The event which was a benefit for Conductive Education was very well attended and extremely enjoyable. The guys seem to be in their festive mood as they performed their original material along with a couple of Christmas songs. James Buckley sang Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in the voice of Elmer Fudd to the delight of all of the children. They jazzed up “Winter Wonderland” and finished with one of their crowd favorites “Heartbreak Hotel”. Their were quite a few children there and they danced and sang while the guys
rocked and rolled. Santa showed up and there were some great auction items up for bid. The donations went very well and will go a long way to helping this great cause. This sure makes the guys feel good to be able to be a part of something like this, especially at this time of the year.

Rockin’ For Flood Relief
Saturday, December 4th, 2004
CIS Installers HQ
Oakmont, PA

Who would ever think that an office building would have such great acoustics as the second floor of the CIS building proved this Saturday evening. JAMES teamed up with The Russell Lauf Band, who just had their CD reviewed the day before in The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and John Vento and The Nieds Hotel Band to raise money for flood victims through the Allegheny Valley’s biggest flood relief organizations, The Network of Hope.
JAMES performed in an acoustic way, with John Carlino strumming banjo, James Buckley adding a Xylophone solo at the end of the Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s classic “From The Beginning” and good friend and musician, John Fox, joining the guys to add keyboard to their version of Zeppelin’s “Thank You”. A live recordingwas done which should turn out well considering the acoustics of the room.
The attendance was not as many as was hoped but those that did attend sure did make up for that with extremely generous contributions. The many people that contributed their time and labor to hold this event should be acknowledged and applauded. People coming together for a good cause never goes unrewarded.

Band On The Run
Saturday, November 20th, 2004
The Praha Hotel in Tarentum, PA & Zanders at Palmieri’s in Plum, PA

Two benefits. One Night. “JAMES” began playing at The Praha Hotel in Tarentum at 6:00 for the flood victims of Tarentum. The attendance was small at first but slowly more people starting filtering in. The guys started off with an a capella beginning of “Here We Go Again” and finished with their version of Elvis’s “Heartbreak Hotel”, appropriately changed to “Praha Hotel”. The reviews were good and those that were there during their performance enjoyed themselves. Meanwhile, at Palmieri’s in Plum the stage was being set for their arrival and performance at 8:30.
Finishing at 6:45, John Casciato, John Carlino and James Buckley packed up and took to the roadway to Palmieri’s to prepare for the show as a special guest of The Businessmen. This was a benefit for the Marine Corps. “Toys For Tots” program and was a huge success. Tim Hadley joined the guys for this show playing his new fretless bass. The place was packed pretty good and the audience response was great. Performing as the acoustic version, proved to be a great crowd
warmup for the big sound of The Businessmen.

“JAMES” Does Kitchens & Baths at CopperLeaf Showroom
Thursday, November 11th - Wexford, Pa
CopperLeaf Kitchen and Bath Design Showroom

Lets talk class! What a classy place this showroom turned out to be. The Brannon family has done a magnificent job with this place and “JAMES” was happy to have provided the entertainment this night to benefit UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in honor of the matriarch of the family, Lorraine Brannon.
Attendance was very good and the food was excellent, “Now thata wazza spicya meatballa!”. Prizes were given away as the night went on as the guests were treated to three hours of “JAMES”.
John Carlino added the banjo to his arsenal, plucking away during “Here We Go Again”. The band was requested to perform “Helen Julia” again and one of the great moments was of them playing “This Is The Best Day” while the Brannons posed for pictures, hugged and kissed each other towards the end of the night.
Elvis’s “Heartbreak Hotel” had the place hopping with James Buckley, letting loose on the harmonica. The band’s strong point of 3 part harmony was particularly moving as the music of JAMES seemed to be a great fit for this event, the people there and the benefit for which it was intended.
The band added The Byrd’s “Turn, Turn, Turn” to its repertoire and John Carlino led off the third set with some acoustic instrumental before the band stepped on the gas with “She’s All Mine”. It certainly was a fun night for the band and the guests as “JAMES” proved it can play the best showrooms in the area and do it very well.
“WHO CAN? JAMES CAN!”

Seriously, though. The players in “JAMES” enjoyed it very much and hope that all who attended did as well.

Band Delivers Knockout Punch To Great Crowd At Zanders
Saturday, October 2nd, 2004 - Plum, Pa
Palmieri’s / Zanders Nightclub

It started out easy with “James” providing an acoustic groove that the audience soon got comfortable with. Then without notice, the full band launched into an invigorating version of “Heartbreak Hotel” that lifted the crowd out of their comfy zone and into a hot delivery of powerfully rockin’ tunes. All the way through to the end of the set they heated up the place, showcasing the hot ringing guitar of Tim Hadley in “Basically Beautiful”. The barrage continued with one of their favorites, “This Is The Best Day”, before finishing off with their classic “Pretty Girls” and “She’s All Mine”.
The audience responded strong after each song and this pumped the band up even more. Bassist Kevin Kilp performed outstandingly, as he plowed thru the crowd unleashing the lower frequencies, teaming up with drummer John Casciato to get the collective hearts throbbing at Zanders.
This show was a birthday tribute to guitarist Tim Hadley, and featured a video from 1982 of Timmy singing “Stop In The Name Of Love”. Timmy then played with “The Businessmen” who followed “James” as they provided some big sounding originals and classic cover songs. It was party time for sure this Saturday night and “James” and “The Businessmen” did not disappoint a soul and proved to be a good combination of bands that know how to move a crowds’ emotion in any direction they want.

Standing Room OnlyAt Nied’s Hotel CD Release Party
Saturday, July 17th, 2004 - Pittsburgh, Pa
The Lawrenceville Moose

The Moose was on the loose at the Neid’s Hotel CD Release Party Saturday night in Lawrenceville as over 500 fans showed up in party mode to help support Lupus and Lawrenceville United Charities.
“James” appeared as a full band for this show as they came out smoking with “Basically Beautiful”, followed by the fast version of “Very Truly Yours”.“The Eyes Of A Child” was very well received and featured an outstanding dual solo with John Carlino’s guitar and the smooth sax of W. Reid Howe. Later James introduced a new song, “Blind Man’s Dream”, and then they slowed it down a bit with what is becoming quite a crowd favorite, “Helen Julia” with guitarist Tim Hadley adding a tastefully done mandolin to compliment the harmonica of James Buckley and the strong harmonies of John Casciato, John Carlino and W. Reid. The band finished out the show strongly with “Pretty Girls”, the bouncy “She’s All Mine” and a rendition of Beatle favorites.
The band is very thankful to be a part of such a great project. The Nied’s Hotel CD features a fabulous collection of many local composers and musicians united under the direction of John Vento and Buddy Hall, writing and performing for some great causes. James Buckley and Tim Hadley are very proud to have contributed their abilities on this CD, proving once again that music can be a very powerful way to make something good happen. This project and this performance will be long remembered and reflected on for many years.

Blessed Sacrament Summer Festival
July 9th, 2004
Natrona Heights, PA

You couldn’t ask for better weather as the guys appeared for the first time at the Our Lady Of The Most Blessed Sacrament Summer Festival in Natrona Heights. The show was very well attended and the response was very good. The acoustic format presented by “James” is establishing itself as a very strong act performing solidly with acoustic renditions of their already powerful original music.
Whether they perform acoustically or with the full band it has proven to serve testimony to the strength and versatility of both the songs and the talents of the players combining their abilities vocally and instrumentally to drive the emotional impact of the material. With John Carlino’s compliment of guitar versatility and the pleasant touch of percussion from John Casciato, the band has developed an emotional and entertaining presentation that has audiences listening quite attentively to the messages within the songs and the meaning behind them. The “Happy Birthday” song from the guys to James Buckley had taken him totally by surprise that he had to take a moment to collect himself in order to start the next song, which just happened to be “This Is The Best Day”. He later issued his thanks to them for embarrassing him so well.
Combining strong harmonies on “Very Truly Yours” and “Only Yesterday” were well received and finishing the show with the bouncy upbeat “She’s All Mine” left the audiences in a very festive mood.

Bar Louie at Station Square
June 24th, 2004
Station Square, Pgh, PA.

It was a warm and comfortable night and Station Square was buzzing with its usual nightlife activity. James put on a pleasant acoustic show that seemed fitting for the almost tropical feeling one could get in and around Bessemer Court. The crowd relaxed and listened to the sounds of the acoustic performance fill the air with great melodies and harmonies.
They performed their original music tastefully as well as renditions of Cat Stevens “Wild World”, Gary Allan’s “I Ain’t Runnin’ Yet”, Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight” and The Beatles “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” and “In my Life”
The doors were open to the outside cafe area as well where patrons ate and drank while listening to the band. It was a good experience for the band as they continue to spread their music across the area appearing in different venues and occasions.

The Single Mug
June 12th, 2004
Blawnox, PA.

The acoustic show at The Single Mug went very well with local musical artists, “James” providing the entertainment. James Buckley, John Carlino and John Casciato offered many of their originals as well as a few timeless favorites from other artists.

This was the first try at entertainment for The Single Mug in Blawnox and they were very pleased with the performance and it was very well attended. The music presented was well received as many listened attentively to the words, musical arrangements and harmonies that the three members of “James” provided. Mixing three part harmonies, the acoustic guitar showmanship of John Carlino, the excellent percussion of John Casciato and the strong voice of James Buckley, the audience was very delighted and enjoyed listening to “James” in a great relaxing venue, The Single Mug.

"JAMES" Launched From Sanctuary
Friday, April 16th, 2004 - Pittsburgh, PA
Sanctuary Nightclub

The location of Sanctuary in the Strip District seemed like a fitting place for the debut of "JAMES". Converted from a church, this venue provided the platform for the return of James Buckley to performing live again after 20 years. Reunited with some friends from musical adventures of the past, the creation of "JAMES' as a unit of musicians gathered to present the compositions that James Buckley has written including both new material and songs from years ago proved that they are to some extent timeless and relevant.
This benefit for The Children's Home of Pittsburgh was well attended as many were entertained by these special friendships united for a great cause. Guitarists John Carlino and Tim Hadley joined drummer John Casciato, Saxist, W. Reid Howe and bassist Kevin Kilp joined James Buckley in presenting some great musical pieces about life, love and the pursuit of happiness.
the reviews were very favorable, as this proved to be the right blend of friendships and mucical talents performing with an acknowledgement towards the meaning behind the compositions and their intent.
