This is just a song about someone who wants a little bit more out of a relationship with someone who is not ready to unveil themselves. Some relationships don't go beyond a physical one. This is probably more true when you are younger and want to live a little before you get serious with someone. Wants and needs aren't always the same. When our hearts are moved by someone, its easy to forget that.

In Your Eyes (1978)
by James Buckley

You never give me a reason, You never tell me no lies
Just like the change of the season
I can see it in your eyes, I can see it in your eyes

You always have all the answers, The questions are never mine
I try to be a romancer, But you just don't have the time

And as I hold you near

I simply can't understand it, Why you hide all you fears
And though you needn't be candid
The words I just can't hear, The words I just can't hear

And as I hold you near

'Cause when I look into your eyes, I see a love that never dies
I see no reason for you to cry, When I look into your eyes

And as you play this game, it comes as no surprise
For I can plainly see when I look into your eyes

We can't go on being lovers, 'Cause we just wouldn't survive
Our love is left under covers, I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your eyes

And as I hold you near

'Cause when I look into your eyes, I see a love that never dies
I see no reason for you to cry, When I look into your eyes
In your eyes, In your eyes

I'm lookin' in your eyes, I'm lookin' all around
Why don't you show yourself
Why don't you make a sound
I'm lookin' in your eyes, I'm lookin' in your eyes
